Due to the high fire danger level (4 "high"), a fire ban is in effect throughout the Canton of Bern in and near forests (up to a distance of 50 meters).
Furthermore, the ignition of fireworks, rockets, and other pyrotechnic devices is generally prohibited throughout the entire canton, including outside of designated fire ban zones. Releasing sky lanterns and lighting bonfires are also strictly prohibited.
Outside of designated fire ban zones, fires may only be lit in designated fire pits and with extreme caution. All fires must be constantly monitored, and any sparks must be extinguished immediately. Avoid lighting fires altogether in windy conditions. Follow the instructions of the local authorities.
